Primary Care Practitioner (PCP) - Lisa Barnes

At Tawstock Medical Centre we are looking to develop and improve the service we can offer to our wide range of users. To help us with these developments, we have employed Lisa, our Primary Care Practitioner. She joins the team on 12th Septemeber after Sarah has left in July. In her new role as our PCP, Lisa is able to see a wide range of patients and can treat many common conditions. If required, Lisa can link in with the duty doctor for medical advice. Prior to joining us, Lisa worked in the Ambulance service as a Paramedic for numerous years. It would be very helpful that at the time of requesting an appointment you could give the receptionist a small amount of information in order for them to signpost you to the most appropriate clinician.

Accountable named GP for all patients

The practice is required by the Government under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients a named accountable GP. Individual patients will be informed of their named accountable GP at the first appropriate interaction with the practice. This information is also printed on prescriptions. If you are unsure who your accountable GP is then please ask a member of staff at your next appointment.
